Are kerosene heater safe to light inside?

Someone gave me a GOOD kerosene heater and I live is S.FL.
Its going to get in high 30’s tonight and I was wordering if it safe to light inside?
I pretty much lnow how to fix anything but I never had a kerosene heater before.
I know…I know…..I live in Florida…But some nights down here get cold in the winter…yea, yea…call me a wuss!! lol
I feel for you people up north………thats why I moved here over 20 years ago……..I hate the cold!!
