Have Aladdin kerosene heater-how install wick the directions use your book, dont have got it yard sale?

Got to point of taking out wick and it does not lift up and out like the directions got from first answer then tried to pull it out and it tore off, there must be another step that I need to do? Any answers?

      My belief that when needed look in believe town called woodchucks on route 30 in believe town called lawnside.
      The first answer after visiting the wick the first thing thats mentioned is that when you will be at the wick the sight that was recommended see that the package dont be able to contact aladdin mfg for instructions are usually printed.
