I have an HMRF-1140 Kerosene heater who’s flame is suddenly low, almost extinguished?

It seemed to be just fine before I refiled the cartridge tank. Now the flame is very low. I’ve been using this kerosene heater for 2 years without an issue. I have no changed the wick, I will if it’s necessary, but think it’s odd that this problem occurred after a re-fill. Any ideas? Is it the wick or could it be another problem?
