What is a good heater for a 1 bedroom apartment?

All This and Brains Too! asked:

I KNOW-I KNOW…it’s like 90 degrees outside and I am asking about heaters! Anyway I live in an apartment where the heat is not controlled by the tenent. Can anyone recommend one that they have tried or heard good things about? I really don’t want to use a kerosene heater!

Dennis got it wrong . Liquid gas DOES produce carbon monoxide when incorrectly burnt. Keep away from liquid fuels, they produce their own weight of WATER when burnt. Your best bet would be a small electric blower type.

For 1999 and they radiate heat from all sides including the bottom as opposed to other heaters which only lasted about weeks very well.
