When I shut off my kerosene heater, the flame still flickers for a while?

Is this normal. It’s a brand new heater. I have used it three times. I bought K1 kerosene for it. I read the owners manual but I didnt see anything about that in there.
It has an automatic shut off, it puts out the large flame, but I can still see some flickering at the bottom.
I blew on it trying to put it out. lol It took so long, I dont know if it went out on its own or if it was from me.
I just need to know if this is normal. I dont want to blow up my house.

The way they work the most.
The way they work the flicker or glow should subside on its own in few minutes at the most.
